Mother’s Day Tea

Thanks to all the moms and grandmothers who attended our special Mother’s Day Tea.  Thanks to all who contributed food and drinks or paper products.  A special thanks to the moms who helped us set up for the day, Gina Garcia (Michael’s mom), Fernanda Peralta (Krisnary’s mom) and Bridgette Gomez-Munoz and her mom Mary (Marie’s mom and grandmother).  

Art and Music Festival

On Wednesday, May 16th the Primary department, including Preschool, will be presenting a Performance and Art Show.  Beginning at 5:30, the Primary grades Preschool through 2nd grade will be performing musically for your entertainment in Ambrosian Hall.  There will also be artwork for your enjoyment before and after the musical performances, along with beer and wine available for purchase.  Preschoolers need to be in their classrooms by 5:00 PM, and parents can then proceed to Ambrosian Hall to await the performances.  Students need to dress semi-formally.  Girls are o wear a nice dress or blouse and skirt or dress pants with dress shoes with no heels over 2 inches. (No sleeveless attire allowed.)  Boys are to wear nice pants and a button down shirt or polo shirt, dress shoes and belt.  Tie is optional.  No jeans or shorts for either girls or boys for the performance.   We hope all the children will be able to participate in this event!

End of the Year Party

Thursday is our End of the Year Party.  We will have an extended water day, followed by a pizza lunch.  You do not need to send your child with a lunch on this day unless they don’t eat pizza.  We will also be serving fruit and salad.   This has been a great year, and the end of the year is always bittersweet.  On behalf of the Preschool Staff and myself, thank you for sharing your child with us this year. 

Last Day of School

The last day of preschool is Friday, May 18th.  The day will be a normal day, with Mass in the morning and After Care available as usual.  

Preschool Changes for Next Year

Next year our half-day will end at 12:30, with no change in tuition, and our full day will end at 3:15 with no change in tuition!  (The school is adding an additional 15 minutes a day, which translates into 10 extra school days during the year!)   Ms. Jane’s classroom will continue using the Happily Ever After Language Series by Superkids, and will also add the Kindergarten math curriculum from Everyday Math.  We will also allow potty-trained 2 year olds into our 3-year-old classroom if there is space.  Please suggest our quality preschool program to your friends! 

Preschool Scholarships Available! 

We are now a preschool with a DES contract.  Since we cannot offer CTSO funds for preschool, having a DES contract for families who qualify for financial assistance with the state will allow more families to afford a Catholic preschool.  Please help us spread the news to other families who are interested in a quality preschool program for their young children.
