St. Ambrose Catholic School 2011-2012 Dress Code

Our 2011-2012 Dress Code will be strictly enforced. For this year only, school logo polo shirts in all colors may continue to be worn, but after the 2011-2012 school year, ONLY navy blue, royal blue and forest green will be allowed.

WHILE SUPPLIES LAST – Garment Graphics will sell long sleeve polo shirts, mock turtlenecks, colored polo shirts (other than navy, royal and forest green), and discontinued sweatshirts at a reduced price while supplies last.
Students may mix and match the items below in combination of their choice. However, other than footwear, they must wear only St. Ambrose Catholic School uniform items and these items may ONLY BE PURCHASED FROM OUR

Dress Code

Research has shown that how a student dresses has a definite impact on behavior and scholarship. Our manner of dress reflects our understanding of community, commitment to excellence, and school pride. Uniforms are chosen because of ease and simplicity. All but socks and shoes must be purchased at Garment Graphics uniform company.
The uniform requirements for St. Ambrose Catholic School are as follows:

Girls

• Navy blue, royal blue or forest green school logo polo shirts, white Peter Pan collar blouse, mock turtleneck long-sleeve shirts (worn under school jumper, v-neck cardigan or sweatshirt)
• School plaid jumper (K-3), baby doll navy or tan jumper (K-3), navy or tan skirt (4-8), plaid skirt (4-8) navy or tan skort, navy or tan shorts, navy or tan long pants, navy or tan capri pants
• School logo navy polar fleece jacket, cardigan, or sweatshirt
• Scrunchies and headbands in school plaid and school colors

MASS ATTIRE: Girls K-3 must wear long pants or school plaid or solid navy or tan jumper. Girls 4-8 must wear long pants or school plaid or solid navy or tan skirt.

Boys

• Navy blue, royal blue or forest green school logo polo shirts and turtlenecks shirt
• Navy or tan blue long pants and navy or tan blue shorts
• School logo navy polar fleece jacket, cardigan, or sweatshirt

MASS ATTIRE: Boys K-8 must wear long navy or tan pants Pre-K MASS ATTIRE

Students in our Pre-K program must wear the school logo polo shirts and navy shorts or pants.

Junior High

Students in junior high may wear the above dress code selections.

Outerwear

School logo outwear navy fleece jacket, sweatshirts and cardigans must be worn.

Footwear

• Traditional dress shoes and tennis shoes, in colors that compliment or coordinate with the school uniform are to be worn.
• Boots, sandals, shoes with wheels or any shoe with more than a 1 1⁄2" sole/heel are not permitted.
• Socks, hosiery or tights in forest green, white or navy blue must be worn.
• P.E. Uniform May be purchased at the school. (shorts and shirts)
• Winter PE items will be available at Garment Graphics and on the Winter Apparel Pre-Order form.

Miscellaneous

• Leather or leather-like belt in black or brown must be worn.
• Shirts must be tucked in.
• Female students may wear one pair of small post earrings.
• The only other jewelry that may be worn is one small religious medal or crucifix, and a watch. Rings,
  bracelets, key chains, etc. are not a part of the dress code.
• Fad hair-styles, make-up, tattoos, and nail polish may not be worn (Girls in grades 6-8th may wear light make-up and clear nail polish)
• Shorts, skorts and capris may not be worn to MASS.
